A year has passed since the first lockdown in February 2020: an anniversary in which we wanted to reflect on what Covid has taught us, in both professional and personal life. Here’s how some of us have lived, progressed, innovated, learned to work and study differently, thanks to or because of the pandemic.<\/em><\/p>\n

After we all became aware of the presence of Covid-19 in Italy in February 2020, everything changed from March onwards. Unfortunately, the situation today is not so different, yet Paso has continued throughout this time to produce, innovate, serve its customers, present products, meet partners, generate value\u2026 obviously in a way that is sometimes different to before. From the testimonies of the collaborators, here’s how they did it while rediscovering the great issues that made the company what it is now.<\/p>\n

Technological innovation<\/strong>
Marina – The pandemic has given a very strong push for the use of technological tools, which have given us the advantage of allowing us to continue our daily activities. Some IT tools, which were previously underestimated by many companies, have also allowed continuity at the work level, and Social Media has become part of our daily life not only for playful purposes but as a means of not remaining isolated. The typicality of the human being prevailed to adapt immediately, even in adverse conditions, to the constant search for new forms of communication.
I like to quote the phrase ‘The pandemic didn\u2019t just cause harm’ because it allowed me to quickly implement (IT) projects that had remained only projects or dreams for some time. I am sure that in the long term when the pandemic ends, these tools will be the means to improve our daily lives overall.<\/p>\n

The importance of a new type of networking<\/strong>
Stefano – My work is based on interpersonal relationships, and I admit that a year ago it was not easy to suddenly find yourself talking only via the Web, perceiving feelings and emotions was so much more difficult. On the other hand, it was the Web that allowed me to continue my profession as an agent.\u00a0I have always admired the great enterprises of the past, the discovery of new territories, drugs, alternative sources, the race to conquer space. The human being never stops, and on a professional level, as far as possible, we never stop!<\/p>\n

The relationship with customers<\/strong>
Hasna –\u00a0Pandemic, Covid, lockdown, stay safe! Everything will be fine, surreal atmosphere, it seems to be like in a film, these are the words that most come to mind. If today I have to create a balance between professional and human, I cannot help but go back to the 12th<\/sup> March, when Paso found itself having to temporarily close its offices pending clearer directives, a day that I will never be able to forget. The following weeks were very intense. I can confirm that on a professional level this experience has allowed me to learn, deepen and change my way of working, in some way to reinvent myself. On a human level, I very much appreciated the solidarity of some customers who sent me messages almost daily, and who, when it was difficult to find masks in Italy, offered to send them to me. The pandemic has shown that even through video you can be insightful and you can achieve your goals: during the 2020 lockdown in Italy, Paso nevertheless continued its expansion and its internationalization process by signing new distribution agreements in Europe and Africa. I believe it is essential to underline the importance of webinars, from being a speaker or from attending them they have allowed me to meet new professionals and therefore develop my professional network, as well as increasing my knowledge and work skills.<\/p>\n

Environmental sustainability
<\/strong>Andrea –\u00a0The virus hit us like an unexpected card in the middle of a Monopoly game, sending us directly to the \u2018Go\u2019 and making us start all over again.\u00a0I believe that our way of conceiving society and working methods will have to change, also for the sake of our children: we cannot exploit the resources of this planet indefinitely. Perhaps we will be the first generation after a long time that will have to face a turnaround: no longer a company based on the market economy but on a model according to which we will create more durable goods over time, so as not to continue scrapping and polluting. I think we should all try to do our part for the environment, in our everyday actions.<\/p>\n

Don’t take anything for granted
<\/strong>Antonio Faccioni, CEO of Paso -Covid has reminded us that we can never take anything for granted. We tried not to stop at just looking for a solution, but to go further, with proposals and news. The growing demand for solutions, combined with the limited ability to meet face-to-face to build relationships, has led us to organise ourselves differently to meet both the needs of our customers, as well as to seek new partners and build new business relationships. The essence of Paso is represented by our staff. If we think of our staff as one of our production machines, we can undoubtedly say that every component is fundamental, and that allows the whole system to work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
