Let\u2019s talk with Roberto Megazzini, Paso\u2019s Sales Department Director. Who offers to us the portrait of one of the company’s crucial departments with the immediacy and simplicity that always distinguish him.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Technical & Sales Department is undeniably a key department. But Roberto Megazzini, far from its celebration, talks about it with frankness and simplicity according to the characteristics of those whom – like him \u2013 love communicating and love their work.<\/p>\n

\u201cPaso\u2019s sales\/commercial department\u201d \u2013 Roberto says – \u201cis exquisitely technical. I think it\u2019s important to point that within our segment of the business, selling also means figuring out the technical problems of each installation. This can be carried out by exploring together with the installer and the customer and then by suggesting, designing and building \u2013if necessary the right system solution. I usually move at 360-degrees within the various professional figures of the team and by following our capillary distribution network in Italy (we have various Agencies located within the different regions of Italy). I also interface with export managers for international markets issues. The international markets are having of course issues of different characteristics but they are giving us great satisfaction.”<\/p>\n

Paso also means EVAC, and EVAC means specific standards and regulations; a complex set of laws within which it is not always easy to navigate. This is the level at which sales department becomes the central pivot of the essential training activity: “Our knowledge of the regulations is very wide, precious and important. We take care of organizing seminars and training courses; very useful and highly attended courses by whom professionally deal with EVAC systems design. Let’s clarify: we don’t necessarily hold these courses to talk about products; indeed, sometimes the products are not even mentioned. The main focus is on laws, rules, standards and regulations.
The company’s catalogue, which certainly does not lack of interesting solutions and innovations, comes later. First come the training, formation and information aspects. “<\/p>\n

Can these seminars, specially dedicated to professionals and engineering designer studios, be considered one of Paso’s trump cards? “Sure!” Megazzini confirms. “We meet the engineering solutions designers, we show the preparation and seriousness of the company also in terms of training; in short, we enter the market aware about the fact that our sector is a sector where the functionality and solidity of the products count way more than aesthetics. Moreover, these seminars allow us – I say that with no hesitations – to learn from our customers and users. Starting with the Amplify your safety cycle, our seminars have then gradually evolved to become training allowing the possibility of providing training credits to professionals and been more and more around and towards EVAC issues. This year, unfortunately, due to covid-19 pandemic, they have been held almost exclusively online: it is better than nothing, but certainly nothing can replace the live meeting with professionals and end-users. “<\/p>\n

After such a general picture, we cannot miss the opportunity to get some previews of the most succulent Paso news for this autumn.
Roberto smiles slyly and replies with a note of pride: “No doubt, the new small and compact PAWs! Designed by us with attention to the market and to the clear indications the market gives to us. Small and agile models: the market trend demand today.
So, by the end of the year, we\u2019ll have a brand new family of 100 Watt products whilst before the smallest within our range was 500 Watt.
Our main idea today is decentralizing the EVAC system, something that years ago was not conceivable.”
For sure and from such an important figure within the company organization chart, a glance on the “Paso world” could not be missing: “We\u2019re not a huge company” Roberto says, “but we are complete: we follow the entire production cycle, and we design our products.
