February 4th, 2023 – the last day of ISE2023… Only a few days passed…

There are no doubts that all of us are back “home” very satisfied for the goals achieved during that successful edition.

We, Paso team, would like to spotlight one of our achievements during that edition; to have had the possibility to display and introduce to the market ACNET, the new audio/data adapter for LAN network developed by PASO R&D team in-house, in Italy, to extend inter-equipment links via RS-485.

ACNET is a complement to the well-known Compact all-in-one Voice Evacuation devices PAW5500-VES & PAW51K-VES Series. These series of devices are characterized, among other things, by the possibility to be connected to each other in order to expand EN54-certified installations. The connection method adopted is proprietary, and works over Ethernet, allowing the equipment to exchange information through the RS-485 connection as well as with analog audio signals. The maximum distance for this type of connection is approximately 1.200 meters. This barrier of the distance limit is overcome thanks to the ACNET module, because ACNET allows this link to be transferred over-IP with a transparent connection to users, installers and to all the devices that make up the system.
What exactly is ACNET? It is a simple audio/data adapter with very small dimensions, easy to install inside the PAW models. The double LINK connection allows setting up a point-to-point connection on the LAN network, and also allows the reproduction of announcements, pre-recorded messages or music files (the product integrates a USB audio player for .mp3/.wav files). Finally, through LED indicators, the entire system is monitored and automatically detects any failures in real-time. The user also has the possibility to monitor the status of the system through a simple web interface, very intuitive and easy to use.
