| | PMS2000 modular systems
The system is modular and can be tailored to individual needs, as far as both design specifications and budget are concerned. To create VES systems, the installation must comply with the mentioned IEC60849 standards, and with the following indications.

The PMS2000 modular system provides for the use of two different boxes: a signal box able to house up to 9 modules (standard width 38 mm) with PM2011-B power supply and a power box able to house from two to four amplifiers.

The PMS2000-B signal box houses the input/output modules, the zone selection modules, the line output, the power supply, etc. The bus on the motherboard transmits the power supply lines, the audio signals, the serial communication line and the service signals (priority, enabling signals, etc.). Audio signals are processed through 3 signal bus: one for the PA and two (A and B), for the management of two independent signals or one stereo audio signal. This allows the implementation inside a single box of more independent systems, linked to a single control and power supply line.

An application example may be a theatre where a single system can broadcast stereo music for the show and perform vocal calls in the dressing rooms; in case of need or emergency, the music can be aborted to send a general warning message.

The priority of the audio inputs of the various modules will be defined by the position of the module inside the box.

The signal box is mounted on sliding bands that allow the users to pull the box out of the rack to access its interior without completely removing it; module installation and maintenance are, therefore, easy and functional. The modules’ front panels report the main commands, indications and settings, whereas the rear panels include all the connections; modules can be easily inserted into the box from above, without needing and internal cabling.

All input/output connectors on the rear panel are professional and particularly functional (XLR inputs with block, removable screw clamps with bayonet coupling, etc.).

The PMS2001 power box allows the rack installation of power amplifiers, available in three models: 240 W (PMW240), 120 W (PMW120) and 60 W (PMW60). A single box can house up to 4 60 W or 120 W amplifiers, or 2 240 W amplifiers, because of their double front dimensions. The PMS2000 system is compatible with all Paso amplifiers.
