The class D AW500CD amplifier has been designed to ensure maximum effective output power without time limits with an extremely high degree of reliability and, at the same time, low energy consumption. The amplifier has a unique feature enabling free front-panel switching of the output voltage for constant voltage applications at 100, 70 and 50 V or for 16 Ohm or 8 Ohm low-impedance lines.

The very low consumption by comparison with a conventional amplifier producing the same output power enables considerable energy saving, and it is also possible to use a proportionally smaller UPS, with a consequent overall saving on the total cost of the system.

The power dissipated in the form of heat is 5 times lower at the rated output power by comparison with a professional pure class AB amplifier, or 7 times lower at half the output power (see chart).

The low heat developed by the unit enables several amplifiers to be placed one on top of the other, so as to take up less space. The peculiarity of the technical specifications qualifies this product as the most suitable for all those professional applications in which low consumption, high reliability and limited occupation of space are required. The V version is designed for use in audio systems applied to emergency services, in accordance with EN 60849, and fits in perfectly with our own PASO PMS2000-VES systems.
